I'm a #femalefilmmaker, writer, mental health advocate, masters swimmer, and amateur cook. I'm currently the Creative Director for Big Dog Little Bed Productions, a female-led video production team located in Durham, North Carolina.
I love cooking up random recipes (or just working with what's left in the pantry), reading endless fantasy books, and spending time with my husband, Michael. We live in Durham with our beagle and tabby cat, and love to spend our days outside and our nights curled up on the couch with a good movie.
FAVORITE RECIPE TO MAKE FROM SCRATCH
For me, mental health comes first. Balancing my work with taking care of myself is a constant journey. Meditation, journaling, and reading are all tools that help me do so - and I love to hearing about other people's strategies too!
At six years old, I began a lifelong love of competitive swimming, something that has defined most of my life. I competed nationally during my college career, and now enjoy spinning, weightlifting, and swimming - especially at an outdoor pool! My love for athleticism translates to my work ethic on shoot days and attention to movement and detail.

AT THE BEACH IS MY FAVORITE QUIET PLACE
my favorite tv show, closely tied with schitt's creek
There's a certain kind of magic that happens when you're fully present in your body, and I love being around those who work to find that magic in movement. From dancing in the kitchen to Olympic sports - it's all about feeling grateful for your body and all it can do!
If you were to create a soundtrack for your life, what would it sound like? Mine would probably sound something like this, although it changes on the regular. Nothing gives me that main character feeling like a road trip with a dope playlist - windows down!
Is there anything better than finding yourself so lost in a book that you don't know how many hours have past? From rich description, tangible characters, heartbreak, laughter, and suspense - books are the ultimate exercise for my imagination.
