I love local coffee shops, warm summer nights, and fresh bouquets of flowers. I was born and raised in Virginia, but I’ve spent the past eight years falling in love with my new home, North Carolina. I love to travel, be outdoors, and spend time with loved ones (including my tabby cat & beagle!). Also – I LOVE macaroni and cheese.
Confession: I am a planner. I like to schedule my days minute by minute so that I feel heavy with accomplishment at the end of the day. This is part of why I love weddings – they’re meticulously planned months in advance so that everyone is having the best time throughout the night.
But there’s something about film and photography that causes me to step outside of my inner overachiever. It makes me slow down and pay attention to the little moments – a kiss when no one is looking, smiling at each other from across the dance floor, a whispered “I love you” before the ceremony begins – that add up to the big, life-changing ones. These big moments are the ones that define our lives, but the little moments are the ones that make it all worthwhile. Although most of us can generally relate to the big moments – a graduation, an engagement, a wedding, or a new baby – it’s the small moments that make your relationship unique. It’s what makes your life yours. And it’s what I hope to capture for you.
